RAM 2500 6th gen GVM Upgrade
The 6th gen RAM 2500 has a federally approved SSM package in four stages, from a 2 inch lift through to 2.5 inch. The published kilogram table for GVM, combined mass and payload is not final, so this page does not print those ratings. We confirm the certified figures against your VIN before anything is ordered, and we fit the package as specified at Arundel or Mackay. A 5th gen truck, 2019 to 2024, uses the 5th gen guide, where the ratings are published.
Over 4,500 kg the truck is NB2 and needs a Light Rigid licence. Whether this package crosses that line is part of the quote, not a number we will guess.
Packages
Stage 2
2 inch. Fox 2.5 Performance Elite. 200 kg rear packs. BDS control arms.
Stage 3
2 inch. Fox 2.5 Performance Elite. 400 kg rear packs. Load-rated wheels are required. The load figure is confirmed with the rating.
Stage 4
2.5 inch. Fox 3.0 bypass. 400 kg rear packs. Load-rated wheels are required. Same rule: no wheel is named as approved until the rating and the sign-off exist.
BDS control arms are in each stage. Mud flaps are in the package from stage 2. We do not substitute shocks or packs. Lighting, a bull bar and wheels are quoted around the kit.
Wheels and tyres
Where the table says a load-rated wheel is required, the wheel is quoted with the package. It is not approved for that stage until the provider signs it off and the load rating meets the figure in the table.
The shortlist, in order, is an AEV wheel that fits this truck, then the KMC KM733 Impact FFT on an HD 8-lug, then Fuel Maverick or Fuel Vapor in 18x9 or 20x9 at +20. Method is not on this list.
AEV that fits this RAM: Salta HD, Katla, Salta XD.
Tyres are a BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 when a size meets the stage load index. A BFGoodrich all-terrain is the alternative. A bar, winch or canopy adds kerb weight and uses payload. It does not change the approved kit.
Lighting and bull bars
These sit outside the approved package. They are not a substitute for a shock, arm or spring in the kit.

In-house modification plate
This is a different job from the federally approved package above. We supply a McGaughy's or BDS kit, install it at Arundel or Mackay, and issue the modification plate ourselves. The certified kilograms are set for your VIN. They are not the stage ratings in the table.
Use this path to stay at or under 4,500 kg on a car licence, or when the truck is outside the SSM approval. A private-import Silverado 2500 is the usual case.
6th gen questions
Why is there no kilogram figure?
The approval table for GVM, GCM, axle loads and tyre index is still marked to be confirmed. Printing a number here would be a guess. The quote carries the certified figure for your VIN.
Is a 2024 RAM a 6th gen?
No. 2019 to 2024 is 5th gen and the ratings are on that page: 5,300 kg or 5,550 kg. This page is the following generation.
