RAM 2500 GVM Upgrade
A RAM Trucks Australia 2500, 2019 to 2024, is plated at 4,495 kg NB1 with about 886 kg of payload. These federally approved SSM packages move it to 5,300 kg or 5,550 kg. That is NB2 and needs a Light Rigid licence. Combined mass stays 12,695 kg and braked towing stays 4,500 kg. Every stage needs a load-rated wheel and a 124Q tyre, up to 35x12.5 on an 18 or 20 inch rim at +18 offset. Private imports are not covered.
Packages
Stage 2 and stage 3 share the 5,550 kg rating. The 3 inch BDS kit does not add kilograms over the 2 inch Fox Elite package. Every stage still requires an aftermarket wheel and a 124Q tyre. We fit a wheel only after it is signed off for that stage.

Same 2 inch height with Fox 2.5 Performance Elite reservoir shocks. Payload about 1,661 kg. This is the higher rating without the 3 inch kit.
Stage 3 · 5,550 kg
BDS 3 inch radius-arm kit and the same Elite shocks. Payload about 1,655 kg. Same GVM as stage 2. The extra inch is geometry, not mass.

Load-rated coils and colour-matched flares are in the package. Wheels and tyres are not. A steering stabiliser is optional and is not required for the rating.
Wheels and tyres
Where the table says a load-rated wheel is required, the wheel is quoted with the package. It is not approved for that stage until the provider signs it off and the load rating meets the figure in the table.
The shortlist, in order, is an AEV wheel that fits this truck, then the KMC KM733 Impact FFT on an HD 8-lug, then Fuel Maverick or Fuel Vapor in 18x9 or 20x9 at +20. Method is not on this list.

Tyres are a BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 when a size meets the stage load index. A BFGoodrich all-terrain is the alternative. A bar, winch or canopy adds kerb weight and uses payload. It does not change the approved kit.

These sit outside the approved package. They are not a substitute for a shock, arm or spring in the kit.

In-house modification plate
This is a different job from the federally approved package above. We supply a McGaughy's or BDS kit, install it at Arundel or Mackay, and issue the modification plate ourselves. The certified kilograms are set for your VIN. They are not the stage ratings in the table.
Use this path to stay at or under 4,500 kg on a car licence, or when the truck is outside the SSM approval. A private-import Silverado 2500 is the usual case.

Can I stay on a car licence?
Not on these three stages. 5,300 kg and 5,550 kg are NB2. If you need to stay at or under 4,500 kg, that is an in-house modification plate and a different rating.
5th gen or 6th gen?
This page is 2019 to 2024. A 2025-on RAM 2500 is the 6th gen package, and those kilogram figures are confirmed on the quote.
Which AEV wheel fits?
Salta HD, Katla and Salta XD are the RAM HD wheels we stock. The stage wants +18 offset and a 124Q tyre in 35x12.5R18 or R20. We still need the provider to sign the exact wheel off before it goes on the truck.
