Toyota Tundra GVM Upgrade
A Toyota Australia Tundra Limited or Platinum, 2023 to 2026, is certified at 3,536 kg from the factory. These federally approved SSM packages take it to 3,850 kg or 4,300 kg. Both stay under 4,500 kg, so a car licence still covers the truck. Braked towing stays 4,500 kg. Platinum is heavier than Limited, so its payload is lower at the same GVM. We fit the package as specified at Arundel or Mackay.
Packages
Stages 1 and 2 keep the factory 265/60R20 wheels. Stages 3 and 4 need a wheel rated to 1,225 kg, a 116Q tyre, and can run a 35x12.5. Front axle capacity stays 1,850 kg on every stage.
Stage 2 · 3,850 kg
Same rating as stage 1 with Fox 3.0 bypass shocks and a 2.25 inch lift. Factory wheels. Pick this for the shock, not for more mass.
Stage 3 · 4,300 kg
Fox 2.5 Elite and 300–500 kg rear coils. Limited payload about 1,478 kg. Wheels rated to 1,225 kg, 116Q tyres, up to 35 inch. GCM 8,800 kg. Flares are part of the package.
Stage 4 · 4,300 kg
Same 4,300 kg with Fox 3.0 bypass and speedo correction for the 35 inch tyre. The shock change does not raise GVM.

BDS control arms are in every stage. There is no in-house Tundra lift-kit collection. If this approval does not match the truck, we quote a modification plate separately and the kilograms will not be these.
Wheels and tyres
Where the table says a load-rated wheel is required, the wheel is quoted with the package. It is not approved for that stage until the provider signs it off and the load rating meets the figure in the table.
The shortlist, in order, is an AEV wheel that fits this truck, then the KMC KM733 Impact FFT on an HD 8-lug, then Fuel Maverick or Fuel Vapor in 18x9 or 20x9 at +20. Method is not on this list.
AEV is used when we stock a wheel for this bolt pattern. Otherwise the quote starts at the KMC KM733.
Tyres are a BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 when a size meets the stage load index. A BFGoodrich all-terrain is the alternative. A bar, winch or canopy adds kerb weight and uses payload. It does not change the approved kit.

These sit outside the approved package. They are not a substitute for a shock, arm or spring in the kit.

In-house modification plate
This is a different job from the federally approved package above. We supply a McGaughy's or BDS kit, install it at Arundel or Mackay, and issue the modification plate ourselves. The certified kilograms are set for your VIN. They are not the stage ratings in the table.
Use this path to stay at or under 4,500 kg on a car licence, or when the truck is outside the SSM approval. A private-import Silverado 2500 is the usual case.

Limited or Platinum, which payload do I use?
Platinum kerb weight is about 2,834 kg from the factory against 2,792 kg for a Limited, and the gap stays after the upgrade. At 4,300 kg a Limited has about 1,478 kg of payload and a Platinum about 1,436 kg. Send the badge with the VIN.
Do I need new wheels for a one-tonne payload?
Not for 3,850 kg. Stages 1 and 2 clear that on the factory 265/60R20. The 4,300 kg stages need a 1,225 kg wheel and a 116Q tyre.
Does 4,300 kg need a truck licence?
No. Light Rigid starts over 4,500 kg. A Tundra on this package stays on a car licence.
